Provisions arrive

Clark leaves St. Louis for Camp River Dubois. He crosses the Mississippi in Major Nathan Rumsey’s boat loaded with “Sundery articles” for the upcoming voyage. An extra ration of whiskey is given to the soldiers.

at 10 oClock I arrived in Majr. Rumseys boat from St Louis, with Sundery articles for our voyage . . . . all is well

The peach trees are partly in blume the brant, Geese, Duck, Swan, Crain and other aquatic birds have disappeared very much, within a few days and have gorn further North I prosume. the Summer duck raise their young in this neighborhood and are now here in great numbers
