Gary Gooch holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies, which he earned at the University of Montana. He worked for more than six years as a satellite image analyst for the University of Montana’s Wildlife Spatial Analysis Program. Currently, he is completing studies leading toward certification that will qualify him to integrate the teaching of English with environmental studies at the secondary school level.
The background for his current interests began with the study of geography at the University of Texas as Austin. He is currently employed at the Big Sky Conservation Institute, a non-profit organization that monitors landscape changes in the Intermountain West. Even though Gary is a native Texan, he has lived and worked in Montana since 1995, and now considers Big Sky Country his home.
