The engagés arrive

At Camp River Dubois opposite the mouth of the Missouri, Clark spends the day writing. Drouillard and seven French engagés arrive—likely the St. Charles boatmen who will crew the red pirogue. In St. Louis, Lewis continues with preparations for their imminent departure up the Missouri River.
