Two Nez Perce guides

At Clearwater Canoe Camp near present Orofino, Idaho, two new canoes are put in the water. The horses are rounded up, branded, and given to Nez Perce caretakers, and Tetoharsky and Twisted Hair volunteer to guide them down the river. Their diet of roots has them so full of wind that they are “Scercely able to Breathe all night”.
